The President of the United States of America (USA) Donald Trump has announced an order that the U.S military take decisive action against what he terms a ‘terrorist group’ Houthi in Yemen.
Trump says he is putting an end to the attacks on commercial vessels of America by Houthi, he says this has gone on for far too long and is affecting its economy badly; and has therefore ordered the military to launch decisive and powerful military action against Houthi terrorists in Yemen.
“It has been over a year since a U.S.-flagged commercial ship safely sailed through the Suez Canal, the Red Sea, or the Gulf of Aden. No terrorist force will stop American commercial and naval vessels from freely sailing the Waterways of the World.
Our economic and national security have been under attack by the Houthis for too long. Today, President Trump’s action and leadership are moving to end this,” said The White House.
Trump says the Houthi’s attack on American vessels will no longer be tolerated; instead, it will be met with overwhelming lethal force until they achieve their objective. Trump has gone on to accuse Iran of funding the criminal and terror acts of the Houthis.
“The last American warship to go through the Red Sea, four months ago, was attacked by the Houthis over a dozen times. Funded by Iran, the Houthi thugs have fired missiles at U.S aircrafts, and targeted our troops and allies. These relentless assaults have costs the U.S and the world economy billions of Dollars while, at the same time, putting innocent lives at risk.
The Houthis have choked off shipping in one of the most important Waterways of the world, grinding vast swaths of Global Commerce to a halt, and attacking the core principle of freedom of navigation upon which international trade and commerce depends,” said Trump.
He took a swing at his predecessor Joe Biden, saying his response to the situation was pathetic and weak, which led to the Houthis doing as they please attacking U.S vessels.
Trump said the U.S military is currently carrying out an attack on the terrorists at their base camps.
“Our brave war fighters are right now carrying out aerial attacks on the terrorist’s bases, leaders and missile defences to protect American shipping; air and naval assets, and to restore navigational freedom. No terrorists force will stop American commercial and naval vessels from freely sailing the waterways of the world,” said Trump.
Donald Trump has sent out a stern message to the Houthis warning them to stop immediately their attack on American shipping or hell will rain down on them like they have never seen before. He further warned Iran to stop its support for Houthis with immediate effect or they will face the consequences and it will not be nice.
