Co-coach Franzel September and his management team have opted for a balanced blend of seasoned campaigners and explosive, upwardly mobile talent as South Africa looks to set the tone for their three-match tour.
Tactical Tweaks Up Front and Out Wide
The only change to the starting forward pack that engineered four tries against the formidable Black Ferns in Johannesburg two weeks ago sees Logan Welman slot into the No 8 jersey. Welman swaps positions with Aseza Hele, who shifts to a high-impact role off the bench.
Behind the scrum, the changes are more pronounced. Felicia Jacobs and Maria Tshiremba return to the run-on XV after sitting out the Soweto showpiece. So, we kept to what we know but also recognize that we need to expand our base.”
