The countdown has officially begun for the 5th Annual Central Music Awards, poised to deliver an unforgettable celebration of music, culture, and regional pride on November 28, 2026, at Old Grey’s in Bloemfontein.
From the Free State and North West to the Northern Cape, Vaal, and Lesotho, the region’s premier creative voices are converging in the City of Roses for a glittering showcase. Over the past five years, these awards have evolved from a local gathering into a powerful career catalyst, helping alumni like Ntate Stunna, Khadeair, Star Kruss, and Ziddo elevate their profiles and cement their statuses as award-winning powerhouses.
Driven by explosive year-on-year growth and soaring public interest, organizers have upgraded to the larger Old Grey’s venue to accommodate the anticipated crowds. Chairman and Co-founder Lehlohonolo Mokoena reports that preparations are completely locked in, bolstered by strategic partnerships with Lesedi FM, Free State World, and private sector sponsors.
Industry heavyweights and government officials—including Free State MEC for Sport, Arts, and Culture Zanele Sifuba—are slated to grace the red carpet, rubbing shoulders with the region’s elite.
Beyond the glittering trophies, the awards serve as a vital engine for artist visibility, urging nominees to actively mobilize their fanbases and secure crucial votes. With an atmosphere built for high-profile networking and style, Mokoena is encouraging attendees to come “dressed to impress,” whether they opt for general admission or reserve an exclusive VIP table for ten.
General tickets are currently available for R100, with door tickets priced at R150. As the region’s brightest stars prepare to take centre stage, the 5th Annual Central Music Awards promise an un-missable night that will shape the future trajectory of central South Africa’s vibrant entertainment landscape.
