By The Soweto giants Orlando Pirates will this evening Wednesday, 28 August 2024, clash with Cape Town City in the MTN8 semi-finals first leg following the postponement of the game yesterday due to adverse weather conditions.
The clubs will be looking for a spot in the finals of the MTN8 ahead of the start of the season. The game was postponed yesterday after they were alerted of gale-force winds averaging speeds of 67 km/h by the City of Cape Town and the Stadium management.
It was reported that the adverse weather has led to the collapse of buildings, blocked roads due to fallen trees, and impacted stadium facilities.
Fans are notified that their tickets remain valid for tonight’s game.
The game will kick-off at 18: 00 at the DHL Stadium, gates open at 16: 00.
