Amakhosi on a winning spree

So far so good, it may be too early to celebrate for Kaizer Chiefs fans, however, it seems like their fortunes have changed for the better; last night at the FNB Stadium they won their second successive game securing six points.

Amakhosi kicked-off the game with Polokwane City; the first half at first seemed to be belonging to the visitors. Polokwane City in search of an early goal made a threating short on target on the 5th minute of the game, they were not yet done as they took the offensive and ran at Kaizer Chiefs making some worrisome shorts at goal.

The Glamor Boys took a while to warm up into the game, but finally became part of the match. They also took some shorts at goal but were not troubling for the keeper.

The first half ended with a goalless draw.

In the second half, Amakhosi came back more determined and hungry, taking chances and at some point hit the upright. With a cross just out of the box, the ball landed on Frosler’s feet, who tried to take a shot but was blocked by the Polokwane City defender and bounced back to him, he laid it off to Ndlovu who scored the only and winning goal for Kaizer Chiefs on the 79th minute.

Amakhosi won the game 1-0, and are seating second on the log with six points after Durban City. Polokwane City is number 12 on the log with one point.

Kaizer Chiefs will face Richards Bay next on 19 August 2025, at 19:30.
