
In a bid to boost the township economy, the Free State MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Ketso Makume will actively participate at Metsimaholo Flea Market on 1 August 2025, Zamdela Sasolburg.
Metsimaholo flea market is an outdoor market where sellers can achieve exposure, build customer relationships, and potentially make a profit. It is a place where people can find unique, affordable products and discover hidden gems.
It is a vibrant and diverse marketplace where people can explore farmers’ corner, live entertainment, craft, and design stalls, including local street food.
The objective behind MEC’s visit is to support Kasi hustlers/entrepreneurs to revive the local economy for job creation opportunities.
To put kasi economy at the forefront and promote value chain beneficiation to support local markets, showcase local talent, and promote economic development.
βIt is within DESTEA’s priority to support township and rural businesses in order to revive the local economy and create job opportunities,β said the Spokesperson for the DESTEA Mojalefa Mphapang.
MEC Makume will pay a two days visit to the Metsimaholo, 3748 Somerspost St. Zamdela, Sasolburg flea market from 1 to 2 August 2025, from 8am to 18: 00.
