TS Galaxy cause an upset

After threshing Soweto giants Orlando Pirates 4 -1 over the weekend, Mamelodi Sundowns received a beaten from TS Galaxy at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga on Tuesday, 11 February 2025.

It was another case of David vs Goliath and David managed to drop the unstoppable Goliath winning the game 1-0.

TS Galaxy was threatening from the first whistle looking for an early goal. Galaxy pushed numbers forward into Sundowns’ box, already in the 3^rd minute of the game they had a shot at goal but went wide.

Though the game was a bit heavy for the African giants, Mamelodi Sundowns pushed backed and had a chance at goal but hit the upright. TS Galaxy was determined to win the game, making runs and passing the ball and was rewarded on the 44^th minute when Kamogelo Sebelebele scored the only goal of the game.

The match went to break with TS Galaxy leading 1-0.

In the second half, TS Galaxy was more defensive protecting their only goal. Sundowns searched for an equaliser but were unfortunate not to convert their chances. TS Galaxy held their position until the last whistle and won the game.

Mamelodi Sundowns is sitting comfortably at number one on the Betway PSL Premiership log with 42 points and TS Galaxy is at number 4 with 25 points.
