By The Free State Department of Treasury has dismissed claims that its Head of Department (HOD) Masechaba Sesing has been suspended.
News made the rounds that the Free State MEC for Finance Gadija Brown has suspended Sesing; to this, the department dismissed the report as false and malicious. The Treasury said Masechaba Sesing is at work and is continuing with her government work.
“The Department views these unsubstantiated allegations as part of a campaign to attempt to destabilize the Provincial Treasury and cause harm to the institution’s reputation. Therefore, the Department would like to reiterate that Mrs. Sesing remains the Head of the Department and she will continue to perform her duties as the Accounting Officer of the Free State Provincial Treasury,” said the Spokesperson for Treasury Tshidiso Mokokoane.
