By The Business Weekly has learnt with shock about the passing of former Bloemfontein Celtics and Kaizer Chiefs player and soccer analyst Siphiwe “Dr Mnandi” Mkhonza (44) after suffering from an illness.
Mkhonza has added a touch of flair on the television screen with his soccer analysis skills and knowledge at the public broadcaster. He had an unnatural love for the game and made many others to fall in love with game. Mkhonza has had a colourful career, playing for different teams including the national team.
Dr Mnandi, as affectionately known; played for Bloemfontein Celtic, Ria Stars, Lamontville Golden Arrows, Kaizer Chiefs, SuperSport United, Maritzburg United, AmaZulu and Black Leopards and had seven caps for the national soccer team.
