Premier showcases her golfing skills

Tiger Woods’s track record came under threat as the Free State Premier Ms MaQueen Letsoha-Mathae took to the golf course in Bloemfontein on Thursday, 20 February 2025, ahead of the State of the Province Address (SOPA).

Playing alongside the Speaker of Legislature, a golf enthusiast Mr Mxolisi Dukwana during the Speaker’s Annual Golf Tournament, Letsoha-Mathae from her stance from the tee, seemed threatening in hitting a birdie with her impressive grip and swing.

The tournament leading up to the SOPA also functions as a great calming and relaxing activity before facing matters of critical importance the following day, where the Premier will address her citizens on how the province is progressing on numerous issues including the economy, poverty, inequality and unemployment.

The visibly relaxed Premier enjoyed a few rounds on the greens before heading off for a dry-run for the SOPA to be delivered today, Friday, 21 February 2025.
