Kaizer Chiefs suffer major loss

SuperSport United inflicted a fatal wound on the confidence of the Glamour Boys who recently had a big win at the Nedbank Cup, beating them 4-1 at the FNB Stadium.

Kaizer Chiefs has been undone by SuperSports, catching its defence flat-footed and exposing their short-comings.

SuperSports United wasted no time and was intent on burying Kaizer Chiefs very early with Samir Nurković opening the flood gates on the 3rd minute of the gate. The team added much pressure on Chiefs, but Amakhosi pushed back and were rewarded with their only goal of the game when Makabi Lilepo scored on the 30th minute.

Kaizer Chief’s hopes to get back into the game were short lived, as SuperSports United responded two minutes later and extended their lead, Christian Saile, a former Chiefs player scored the second goal for his team on the 32nd minute.

The game went to break with SuperSports leading Kaizer Chiefs 2-1.

SuperSports United was not done, in the second half, they came back and added two more goals to the score sheet, Gamphani Lungu scored a third on the 63rd minute and Siphesihle Ndlovu added the final nail to the confidence coffin on the 83rd minute.

The game ended with SuperSports United leading 4-1.
