By It is now written on stone, no retreat, no surrender. It is Soweto vs Pretoria. Orlando Pirates will go up against Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup final after both winning their matches overs the weekend.
On Saturday, 4 May 2024, the Sea Robbers beat Chippa United 3-1 booking their place in the finals. The waiting game was now on to see who will progress to the finals between the Brazilians and Stellenbosch on Sunday.
Stellenbosch put up a fight during their match against Sundowns; but the Pretoria boys were not about to let go of their winning streak. Ka bo Yello emerged the better team defeating the Stellies 2-1 and made their way to the finals.
The Buccaneers are highly motivated and confident as they have been winning their games in the past four matches; but the big question is, will they be the first team to beat Sundowns? The Brazilians have not lost even a single match. So the match is more than the cup, but also about bringing down the champion, stopping the run-away train and making history.
The game will take place at Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga on 1 June 2024.
