
Re Phethile Art Production from Bethlehem, Thabo Mofutsanyana District Municipality was amongst the Theatre groups who participated in the Free State Department of Sport Arts Culture and Recreation Homebrew Festival.
The Production performed on the 21st of February 2025 at the Bloemfontein Civic Theatre in Bloemfontein.
The 2025 Free State Homebrew Festival is billed to be one of the foremost performance opportunities platforms for Free State artists.
The festival was officially launched on 20 February at President Hotel in Bloemfontein, and continued until Sunday, 23 February 2025, at different venues including Bloemfontein Civic Theatre.
“It’s an absolute honour to have this opportunity to showcase our talents on the theatre stage for the first time since we started our Production in 2020. We are thrilled to share our passion and creativity with the audience, and we are grateful for the platform to express ourselves.
This is a dream come true for us, and we are excited to give it our all and make a lasting impression. We are proud to represent ourselves, our community, and our culture, and we can’t wait to share this experience with everyone,” said the Production Founder and Director Mr Lekgutsa Mbele.
Free State Homebrew Festival is a multi-disciplinary programme consisting of the following genres: Theatre and Dance; Music; Literature; Poetry, as well as Visual Arts, Photography and Crafts. Furthermore the Homebrew Festival is an arts and culture festival in Bloemfontein, South Africa that features theatre, dance, music, and more. The festival is intended to support local artists and promote the Free State’s cultural diversity.
