By Kaizer Chiefs has expressed shock and sadness on the untimely death of its player Luke Fleurs, who was shot during a high jacking incident in Johannesburg and later declared deceased at hospital on Wednesday night.
Amakhosi says the young star was yet to make an official appearance for the team; though he set on the bench, the team loved Luke Fleurs and they are upset with his death.
“The Club’s management, players and the technical team are all profoundly upset by this devastating turn of events. We convey our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this extremely difficult time,” read the statement.
Kaizer Chiefs says it will make further announcements at a later stage.
