The Springboks once again showed that they are world champions when they beat the All Blacks for the second time during the Castle Larger Rugby Championship on Saturday for the second time to lift the Freedom Cup at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town.
New Zealand went into the game with the hope to turn things around into their favour and finally be victorious over South Africa. Like last week’s match, the All Blacks started off strong looking for an early lead, of which they were able to achieve.
Both teams knew what is at stake and the first half was a spectacle to watch. The match went to break with New Zealand leading 9-3.
The Boks had to dig deep and make a strong come back, the home side showed itself a force and had to climb from behind, defending and preventing the arch rivals to extend their lead. The Springboks made a strong come back and won the game.
By full time, the Boks were leading 18-12, a win that left the All Blacks frustrated and wondering what it will take to beat the world champions.
