By The African champions got a humiliating confidence injury on Friday evening 25 October 2024, when playing against Denmark at Aalborgh Stadium during their international friendly that led to a five finger (5-0) defeat.
Banyana Banyana was confident going into the match and managed to hang on their defence line as Denmark went on the offensive from the first whistle of the game.
The first half ended with a goalless draw.
In the second half, Denmark went for the jugular, as they settled into the matched and gained confidence, South Africa was losing concentration and the Red and White took advantage and scored three successive goals in less than 10 minutes.
This demoralised the South African team, but Denmark was not done, they were cruising past Banyana Banyana players enjoying themselves and scored two more goals putting the game way beyond reach for the African queens.
Banyana Banyana at some point we caught facing their goal posts, an indication that they have lost formation and concentration, they were unable to even register a gaol to show that they were part of the game.
Denmark beat South Africa 5-0.
Banyana Banyana will now go up against England tomorrow, Tuesday 29 October 2024; the game will kick off at 15: 00 South African time.
