CENTLEC customers residing in Mangaung Metro are being alerted of the disruptive strong winds affecting the infrastructure of the utility leading to outages and thus leaving citizens in the dark.
According to the Acting Spokesperson for CENTLEC, Tseliso Leba, following an earlier warning for damaging winds, several parts of Mangaung are experiencing power outages due to affected electricity infrastructure.
“Given the above, our normal estimated turnaround time to attend to outages is also affected and may be prolonged. We would like to assure the community of Mangaung that all our technical teams are attending to all outages recorded in our area of supply. We remain committed to ensuring a continuous supply of electricity,” said Leba.
