Beginning on Monday, 22 September 2025, Premier Letsoha-Mathae led a government integrated services and cleaning campaign in Phase 5, ward 45 in Mangaung Bloemfontein.
This prompted calls from neighbouring communities, amongst them the people of phase 6, for the Premier and her executive to visit their area.
Following a community meeting she held earlier with the community of Matoporong, Reddersburg, Premier Letsoha-Mathe’s proceed to Bloemfontein for a meeting with residents of Phase 6. The scortching sun could not deter the community who patiently waited for her.
This was not to be in vain. A long engagement followed. People raised their views, gave disturbing accounts of their experiences as a result of non-service.
However, the Premier came bearing good news. She announced that a road construction project would soon be starting in the area and this would see a significant number of community members employed. In light of cero issues that were raised, she committed to bring government integrated mobile services to the area in less than a month.

“We will be accompanied by a team of engineers and land surveyors to check the viability of allocating sites in the area” she said.
However, with a naked eye, Premier Letsoha-Mathae against the state of what many residents believe is suitable for residential sites.
“I will come with MECs and we will consult national government in the coming weeks about what I think are genuine needs; such as a clinic and a police station” she remarked
The Premier concluded her visit to the area with an extensive walkabout in the area’s informal settlement and dumping sites. Visibly concerned, the Premier highlighted the urgent need to try and move people, for their safety from the area.
