
The Free State MEC for the Department of Economic Development and Tourism Mr Ketso Makume will today, 23 January 2025, engage with the private sector during a business breakfast on opportunities available in the province.
The Free State is one province with great economic opportunities; as part of his drive to woo investors into the province and grow its economy, Makume will be engaging with business during a breakfast at Partuma Lodge in Parys discussing economic opportunities and share ideas on the role of SMMEs play in the economic development.
The Department says the private sector is critical to turn the economy of the Free State around and to address the socioeconomic challenges facing the people. This necessitates regular consultation to influence decisions that will ensure a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.
The Free State offers a number of investment and business opportunities in diverse industries, these includes the tourism sector, renewable energy, mining, farming and many other opportunities.
The breakfast discussions are set to kick off at 8am.
