Masandawana controversial win over Amakhosi

Kaizer Chiefs remains frustrated as it failed again to beat Mamelodi Sundowns over the weekend at the FNB Stadium in Soweto.

It was a thriller match to watch, and somewhat an impressive sight to watch a totally reformed Kaizer Chiefs team that is hungry to win and to go back to its glory days.

From the first whistle, the Glamour Boys showed determination, they applied pressure on Sundowns and were rewarded by an early goal on the 9th minute when Ranga Chivaviro put the ball past the keeper and scored the opener of the game.

Sundowns tried to retaliate, but Chiefs held its fort and tried to absorb the pressure, but soon the Brazilians managed to break Chief’s defence and Lucas Costa levelled the playing field on the 31st minute.

The Brazilians were not done, through a controversial goal, to which some argue that it was an off-side; Iqraam Rayners scored the second goal on the 37th minute.

The first half ended with Sundowns leading 2- 1.

In the second half, Amakhosi came back strong, they had multiple chances but could not convert, the goal they scored did not count as the referee called for a foul. The Naturena boys suffered another loss to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Whether the game was a day light heist or not, Kaizer Chiefs will have to go back to its drawing board and figure out a way on how to beat Mamelodi Sundowns.

The game ended Sundowns 2-1 Kaizer Chiefs.

As the land lords of the log, Sundowns sits comfortably on position one while Chiefs is number 6.
