Observed globally on the 25th of every month, Orange Day serves as a recurrent call to action to eliminate violence against women and girls. This month’s alignment with South Africa’s national Women’s Month theme—“Building Social and Economic Resilience of Women for a Better Tomorrow”—underscores the critical link between physical safety, dignity, and economic empowerment.
Psychosocial Support and Frontline Interventions
At the core of the Department’s ongoing strategy is the deployment of direct social work interventions across the province. Frontline social workers and multidisciplinary professionals continue to manage case responses, providing comprehensive assistance to victims and their families:
