The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in the Free State province came out strong condemning the MEC for Public Work Ms Dibolelo Mance for allegedly squandering R100 000 of taxpayers money on a trip to Cape Town.
The Chairperson of the EFF in the province CMSR Mapheule Liphoko spared no punches in slamming one of the youngest MECs in the Free State alleging that she funded a trip for three to Cape Town where she spent R100 000 of taxpayers money, he alleges that Dibolelo Mance spent over R30 000 on flights and over R34 000 in accommodation.
According to Liphoko, Mance has a record of abusing government resources for her party, the ANC and for personal gratification.
“The EFF condemned her harshly when she was wearing ANC regalia in her official capacity as a member of the executive using government branding for her campaigning purposes in Thabo Mofutsanyane,” said the Chairperson of the EFF.
“There is a dark cloud around MEC Mahlatsi (Mance) because she is also embroiled in licentious appointment scandals. She was in the thick of things in an irregular appointment of the Director of Youth at the Department of Social Development. The Department has been ordered to pay a sum of around R3 million,” continued Maphuele Liphoko.
The EFF has since said they are going to follow up on what they call ‘blatant corruption and lawlessness’ from the ANC administration and ensure that the MEC is held accountable by law enforcement agencies.
