Mushin Ertugral walked away a bigger man yesterday after beating his former team Kaizer Chiefs collecting all three points at the Cape Town Stadium in Cape Town.
Cape Town City was under pressure in the first half as Amakhosi pressed high in search of an early goal; however, the hosting team was able to defend and were fortunate not concede as the Glamour Boys missed a number of scoring opportunities.
Chiefs at some point held Cape Town City hostage in their half of the field, seemingly in charge of the game and dominating it, making some crucial passes and shots at goal but were unable to convert.
The match went to break with a goalless draw.
In the second half, Cape Town City came back more determined and pressed for a quick goal, from a counter, Darwin González found the net on 51st minute scoring the sole goal of the game. The game was now open as Amakhosi searched for an equalizer but were denied and Cape Town sought to extend their lead.
Cape Town City won the game 1-0 and is currently number 11 on the PSL log, while Kaizer Chiefs occupies number seven on the log.
