Buccaneers wound Gallants with a spear

The visitors, Maromu Gallants from Bloemfontein felt like they walked into a trap in their away game with Orlando Pirates on Saturday, where the Sea Robbers beat them with a clean 3-0 score.

Pirates kick-off the game at their home ground at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto; soon Marumo Gallants got the ball and became threatening with a shot at gaol on the 3rd minute by Katlego Otladisa but was denied by the upright.

The Buccaneers got their rhythm very fast and went on an offensive, just moments later after Marumo Gallants’ attempt, from a cross in the box, by “Cocomelon” Relebohile Mofokeng, Yamela Mbuthuma scored the first goal of the game on the 4th minute.

Orlando Pirates put pressure on Marumo Gallants, forcing the keeper to make a few crucial saves. From just outside the box Patrick Maswanganyi took a shot, which deflected beating the goal keeper. Pirates was now leading with 2 goals to 0 in the 29th minute.

The game went to break with Marumo Gallants trailing 2-0.

In the second half, the Sea Robbers were on a mission to extend their lead further. Beating two defence players in the box, last born ya ma 2K Relebohile Mofokeng hammered the last nail on the coffin scoring the third goal for his team on the 85th minute.

Orlando Pirates won the game 3-0 and is top of the league table with 38 points.
