
Kaizer Chiefs went shopping and has confirmed three signings to boost its squad ahead of the Soweto derby in the Betway Premiership against Orlando Pirates on 1 February 2025, at FNB Stadium.
The club is seeking to turn its fortunes around and get back to its winning days, following a massive 4- 0 win against Free Agents on Sunday, 26 January 2025, in the Nedbank Cup that pushed them through to the last 16, the club introduced three names to its squad.
On 27 January 2025, Amakhosi confirmed the signing of Tashreeq Morris, Thabo Cele and Congolese international, Glody Makabi Lilepo from French club Valenciennes FC.
Morris, who previously played for SuperSport United, has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him at Chiefs until 30 June 2027. This move is part of a strategic swap deal, which will see striker Christian Saile head the other way.
Cele has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Amakhosi, which includes an option for an additional year.
Lilepo has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal, which also includes an option for a further season. He has played 16 matches for Valenciennes in France this season, scoring four goals and making two assists.
